JGSMI Annual trip to the Reynolds Genealogical Collection at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, IN
This renowned collection includes more than 350,000 printed volumes and 513,000 items of microfilm and microfiche. Be sure to use the library’s online catalog to prepare for your trip. It will assist in orienting you to the scope of our collection and help you to plan your actual research time in the department. Librarians experienced in genealogical research are always on duty to answer your questions. The new ACPL opened in February 2007 and contains the third largest genealogical collection in the United States.
All carpools will be leaving promptly at 8:30am on Sunday, May 18th—we will meet in the parking lot near Einstein Bagels at the corner of Orchard Lake Road and Twelve Mile Road. Please make your own carpooling arrangements and also your own hotel reservations.
We will plan, as usual, dinner Sunday night at the Old Gas House Restaurant.
The Fort Wayne Hilton Hotel is two blocks from the library and people can make their own room-sharing arrangements.
How do I reserve a spot on this special field trip?
- Please RSVP as soon as possible to programs@jgsmi.org—this lets JGSMI know you are coming.
- Make your OWN RESERVATIONS with the hotel.
- To get the special $99/night rate, you must let the hotel know you are with the Jewish Genealogical Society of Michigan.
- To guarantee the rate, all reservations MUST be made and confirmed no later than 3:00pm on April 27, 2008.

The Hilton charges the fee to your room, and you have unlimited in-and-out privileges—all you have to do is bring in your parking ticket that you get from the machine to the front desk each time to park and they will “stamp” it paid for you.
